Do I have to take the 60 Hour portion to take the 30 Hours?
- No. You are required to take the 60 hr. portion to be eligible to take the CARES final exam.
- You may take the 30 hr. portion at any point in your licensing process, but it is strongly encouraged to take the 60 hr. prior to the 30 hr. portion.
How long will it take me to complete the classes?
- You can complete the courses as fast or as slow as you want. If you took every available session for both the 60 hour and the 30 hour courses, you can complete the schooling in as little as 6 weeks.
- The 60 Hour fundamentals course is held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 5:00pm-9:00pm and on Saturday from 9:00am - 12:00pm
- The 30 hour Course for New Affiliates is held on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00pm-9:00pm.
- The Tennessee Real Estate Commission requires that students are present for a minimum of 80% of the course to be eligible to take the final exam and receive credit. So, yes, you can miss some sessions... but we highly recommend that you try to attend every Module so you have the most amount of information possible!
Can I start classes in the middle of a 60 hour cycle?
- You may begin taking classes at any time prior to Module 6. After Module 6 you will be required to wait for the next cycle to begin and start with Module 1.
- Yes, you may repeat any of our modules, as needed, during the year that your course is valid. We only require that you register for that module as you normally would.
- No, our pre-licensing course is designed to be a classroom environment only.
- No, we can not guarantee that any student will be successful in class or in passing the state and national exams. We can, however, allow you to take individual modules repeatedly until you are confident that you have the knowledge you need.
- Each of our instructors will be happy to answer any questions that you may have as you have them. You will be provided with their contact information once you enroll.
What if I do not pass the CARES Final Exam?
- Students that are eligible to sit for the CARES final exam are able to retest as needed.
- You will have 2 opportunities to pass the "main" final exam. On the 3rd attempt you will be given an alternate exam.
- If you do not pass the alternate exam you will be required to retake your 3 most challenging modules based on your exam score BEFORE retesting for the 4th time.
